German Democratic Republic (DDR) existed from 1949 until 1990. This mint (**) stamp from the lower left margin, showing a portrait of Mao Zedong, was issued in 1951 to celebrate German-Chinese friendship. CW is 90 €. The stamp is still in my collection.

West-Sachsen in the eastern part of Germany was a Soviet zone just after WW2. They issued stamps in 1945 and 1946. This so-called “Grossblock”, with Leipzig Fair stamps, was issued 8. Mai 1946. CW is 1.500 € and I still have it my collections.
